TOOL & BAD BOYS Short, Short Ebooks |
Wednesday, May 30, 2007 The Gen-Y generation grows up... ...and is in a cubicle near you. Unfortunately, that may not be a good thing as the Y-generation (18-24) has been brought up to focus entirely on themselves, and therefore have become workers who are inordinately needy, can't seem to take criticism and want constant validation by way of accolades and awards. These are the kids who got inflated grades in school, got gold stars for every damn thing, received trophies whether deserved or not. So now, to deal with these cubicle crybabies, companies are hiring consultants to teach managers how to better coddle them. Lord, give me a break. to the NPR report by Labels: Potpourri
