Friday, September 26, 2008 Palin is cracking the ceiling for all beauty contestants to run for VP The simularity in intelligence is chilling. Palin adherents must be suffering some severe cognitive dissonance right about now, especially since it is now painfully obvious to them that Palin is about as coherent as that 2007 Teen USA contestant from South Carolina who coined the now-infamous phrase, "U.S. Americans." Who knows, maybe in another ten years, the intellectually challenged Ms. Teen South Carolina will make a bid for VP, or even President. As Tina Fey cum Palin pronounced in her spoof, "anybody can be president." Unfortunately, that seems to be the case because anti-intellectualism is obviously a major criteria that many Americans expect in their candidates. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ From CNN's Jack Cafferty: There is a reason the McCain campaign keeps Governor Sarah Palin away from the press. This is a direct excerpt from Katie Couric's One-On-One interview with Sarah Palin, which aired Wednesday on CBS. COURIC: Why isn't it better, Governor Palin, to spend $700 billion helping middle-class families struggling with health care, housing, gas and groceries? Instead of helping these big financial institutions that played a role in creating this mess? PALIN: Ultimately, what the bailout does is help those who are concerned about the health care reform that is needed to help shore up the economy. Oh, it's got to be about job creation too. So health care reform and reducing taxes and reining in spending has got to accompany tax reductions. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I can only imagine Palin in roundtable talks with foreign diplomats on issues of national security and again, the thought is a chilling one. Even Kathleen Parker of the ultraconservative National Review believes Palin is out of her league and the Katie Couric-Palin interview is one of the reasons cited. See vids below. Labels: Politics
