Wednesday, January 25, 2006 Another clip for Again Trying to get as much mileage out of the free Swish/Flash trial period, I've created another clip that features turn-of-the-century pics of places I mention in my novel. Nothing fancy; I'm keeping the clip on my Novel Facts page at my website.  A lot of the pics are by Jacob Riis, the famous photographer of the Five Points section of New York. The clip includes this pic with the interesting title "Black and Tan Dive." On my Novel Facts page, I also include a link to an essay written by Riis on the race situation in 19th century New York where Riis alludes to this phrase.
