Sunday, February 12, 2006 Memory games I found a couple of interesting games over at My Irrationalities. The first game is called Mastermind which asks you to memorize nine paintings by famous artists, then follows up with another sequence in which one of the paintings has been substituted. You have to figure out which painting is the replacement. The second game is called Masterpieces and again features famous works. In this case, you're given five paintings in a certain order. You are then asked in the next sequence to number the paintings according to the original order. I was feeling good about my accumulating IQ score until I began wondering when the first game would come to an end so that I could tally final scores. "Intelligent" me didn't see the descriptive neverending. So much for my intelligence. Anyway, these are good exercises to flex your memory muscles.
