Duke professor offers his views on "(White) Male Privilege, Black Respectability, and Black Women's Bodies"

This is just a very eloquent post by Duke Associate Professor Mark Anthony Neal on the overlapping isms that underline the Duke scandal; his perspective mirrors all that I've been thinking these last three weeks since this story broke. Especially as to why these "boys" requested a black dancer in the first place. (Although I go one step further to say that race debasement was on the agenda for that night)
