Monday, October 20, 2008 Solidarity in Pink If none of you have ever been bullied, you might not understand how wonderful this action is, especially in a world so homophobic and gender-structured, it diminishes anything that is considered "feminine," including the color pink. Two Nova Scotia teenage boys started a mission of goodwill by standing up for their bullied classmate who made the "mistake" of wearing pink his first day of class. Of course, the bullies descended. But these two young men decided they weren't going to let the victim stand alone. Good on 'em. Read more about their derring do. Labels: Potpourri
