Feeling Good Y'all
Just got back from my taped radio interview (thank goodness it wasn't live); I only flubbed once when trying to pronounce Tananarive Due's name. Vanessa Bush of 8:48, a show aired on Chicago Public Radio, made me feel right at ease, even though I was about 25 mins. late due to a late bus and trying to find the studio inside Navy Pier. Walked around 20 mins. getting on wrong elevators and getting misdirection from workers. But once the interview was under way, I was more at ease and took off with my loquacious self. The interview is slated to be aired sometime in July.
Also, just found this over at Niobia Bryant's blog. AGAIN is No. 7 on Amazon's bestseller multicultural list; that's a pleasant surprise. Hopefully, it'll get on some other bestseller lists; I'm x'ing my fingers on that one, though. Check out the list below:
1. I Say a Little Prayer by E. Lynn Harris. 2. So You Call Yourself a Man by Carl Weber 3. A Sin and a Shame by Victoria Christopher Murray 4. Heated by Niobia Bryant 5. Winds of the Storm by Beverly Jenkins 6. A Time to Keep by Rochelle Alers 7. Again by Sharon Cullars 8. Naughty or Nice by Eric Jerome Dickey 9. Somebody's Got to Be on Top by Mary B. Morrison 10 Nothing Has Ever Felt Like This by Mary B. Morrison Can't do bad being on the same list with bestseller E. Lynn Harris. :-)
