Uhm, ya think?

A recent study was conducted to identify the types of men who oversexualize women with the hope of finding ways to prevent sexual harassment and date rape. The premise was that "macho" guys would probably score higher in oversexualizing women. But guess what? All of the male subjects participating in the study, whether macho or not, tended to think of women in sexual terms and assumed a sexual interest on the part of women whether present or not. Yeah, damn surprising results.

Here's the clincher : "Levesque (lead researcher Maurice J. Levesque, an associate professor of psychology at Elon University, in North Carolina) doesn't know why all the men in the study seemed to over-sexualize women, but he speculated that "it's got to be something about socialization, that men are being taught in some way to view women as sexual objects."

Men are being taught to view women as sexual objects? No shit. Got some words for ya Maurice: Playboy, Maxim, Penthouse, television, cable, movies, internet, video/computer games, playground games, religious tenets, Biblical text... The list could go on and on.

As far as I'm concerned, these researchers could have saved their money. Although they do tell us women to understand that when men are talking to ya, they more likely than not have sex on the brain. Again, big ass "Duh!" What did they think feminists have been saying all of these years? Which leads me to re-introduce this pic of the male brain that I posted a few months back:
