Sunday, December 14, 2008 Pair of leather men's shoes, slightly worn - $150... ...same shoes thrown at President Bush during a news conference in Iraq - priceless. Seems an Iraqi journalist took protest to a higher level...that is, the amazing trajectory arc of shoes hurled as projectiles. I have a feeling the journalist doesn't like Bush very much...nor the policies Bush and his cronies have implemented in Iraq during the last six or seven years. As for the actual value of the shoes, I don't know what the equivalent dollar value is in Iraqi currency. But since Iraq has received more than a fair share of American dollars, I can bet the Iraqi currency has gotten quite a boost. PS: Just to be clear, I'm being tongue-in-cheek here; I don't condone violence against anybody, including President Bush. Labels: Politics
