What the f*ck?

OK, now I've read everything. Just when I think the Katrina three-ring-circus can't get any more ludicrous, I read today that ex-Fema head, Michael Brown, is starting his own disaster preparedness consulting firm, where he will help clients "avoid the sort of errors that cost him his job."

He's quoted as saying that by helping people focus on preparedness in their homes and offices, and thus helping them save the bottom line, he hopes to "help the country in some way."

That he already has companies lined up is beyond ironic. Here is a man so inept that he hasn't been able to maintain any position he's ever had. And he still seems not to understand how much he fucked up during Katrina. All he has to say is "Hurricane Katrina showed how bad disasters can be." Uh, duh. And this is the level of intuitiveness that is going to help people prepare for the next disaster?

But at least he's feeling good about himself these days. “My wife, children and my grandchild still love me. My parents are still proud of me.” All nice, warm and fuzzy. Now let's just ask the Katrina victims how they feel about him. Maybe then he will stop slapping himself on the back.
