Sunday, November 02, 2008 Des boys are miscegenated... For some reason, this scene from O Brother Where Art Thou (the only Cooney film I really like, BTW) reminds me of the current election with all its racial animus and spurious allegations.... "That negra sold his soul to the devil!" The funny part is that the race-baiting candidate finds himself perplexed that his allegations don't get the response he anticipated ("Is you is, or is you ain't my constituency?"). Actually, his race baiting flies right back to slap him in the face...in this case in the form of thrown tomatoes. PS: Never thought I would like bluegrass, but that tune "Constant Sorrow" is kinda catchy.
