Friday, December 09, 2005 Nothing like a soused Santa to bring in the holiday cheer  Grabbed this game from Patti O'Shea's blog. It's called Sober Santa and it's a hoot. The object of the game is to direct Santa with the arrow keys to the mysteriously appearing drinks. The boundary is set by a toy train track which packs a wallop of electricity through poor Santa if he wanders too near. Unfortunately, with each drink, Santa gets drunker and drunker and harder to navigate. My highest score right now is 798, but I intend to keep on trying. Also, there are strange Christmas boxes that appear at intervals; they don't seem to affect the score but I've surmised that they make Santa a little more sober and thus more navigable.The sound effects are riproaring and include farting and belching to the tune of "We Wish You a Merry Christmas." Update: Make that 1,208 points. Still trying.
